Three ways we may be of help.

why willowmere

A different kind of care home.

We are a small residence, and we think that matters. What we offer is not a ward or a facility — it is a home, run by people who pay attention.

Small by design

We accommodate a limited number of residents so that each person is known to the staff and not lost in a larger group. A smaller household means quieter routines and more consistent care.

Qualified care team

A registered nurse is on duty during daytime hours and on call through the night. Our care staff hold recognised certifications in elder care and personal support.

Garden and outdoor space

The residence has a garden room and a small outdoor garden. Residents may spend time there at their own pace. We believe quiet outdoor access is part of a reasonable daily life.

Meals prepared daily

Three meals a day are prepared in our kitchen, with attention to dietary requirements and personal preferences. We do not use outside catering.

Families kept informed

We communicate openly with families about how their relative is getting on. Visits are welcomed at reasonable hours without the need for appointments in most cases.

Registered and accountable

Willowmere Residence is registered with the relevant Malaysian social welfare authorities. We operate to the standards set for private care homes and welcome periodic inspections.

Would a conversation help?

Many families find it useful to speak with us before making any decision. We are happy to answer questions, describe the residence, or arrange a time to visit. There is no obligation.

questions

Things families often ask.

How do I find out whether there is a place available? +
The most direct way is to telephone or write to us. We keep a small waitlist and can usually give families a clear idea of when a place may become available. We are happy to stay in contact while you consider your options.
Can we visit the residence before deciding? +
Yes, and we would encourage it. We find that visits help families and prospective residents form a realistic picture of daily life here. Please telephone us to arrange a time — we prefer scheduled visits so that current residents are not disturbed.
What level of care is provided? +
We provide personal care support — assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility. A registered nurse is on duty during the day and on call at night. We are a residential care setting and not a step-down medical facility; we work alongside families and medical practitioners to support the health of each resident.
How is the monthly fee structured? +
Long-stay residential living is RM 4,580 per month. This covers accommodation, meals, personal care support, and nursing oversight. Some additional items — such as incontinence supplies or specialist therapist visits — may be charged separately. We will go through all costs clearly before any arrangement is confirmed.
Are family visits allowed, and are there restrictions? +
Families are welcome during reasonable hours — broadly, mornings through early evenings. We do not run a strict visiting schedule, but we ask that visits avoid early mornings and late nights out of consideration for other residents. Please call ahead for extended visits or gatherings.
Is the Day Companionship Programme suitable for someone living alone? +
The programme is designed for older adults who live independently but would benefit from company and a structured midday. It is offered up to four days a week and includes a midday meal and time in the garden room. Transport may be arranged with the family if needed.
What happens if a resident's needs change over time? +
We review each resident's care regularly and adjust support as circumstances change. Where needs extend beyond what we are able to provide, we will discuss this openly with the family and assist with transitions to appropriate settings. We do not make these conversations difficult.
